日本的消費者廳(CAA)要求包裝食品標籤顯示因引起較多或較嚴重反應而選定的9種「特定原料」:蝦、腰果、蟹、核桃、小麥、蕎麥、雞蛋、牛奶、花生。腰果是在2026年4月1日新增,標籤過渡期至2028年3月31日,所以目前有些產品可能尚未標示。

餐廳:你必須主動詢問

消費者廳的規定指出,無容器或包裝販售的食品,以及由餐廳與食品服務業販售的食品,不強制標示過敏原。日本的訪日旅客消費者熱線也以英文說明相同內容:在櫃台或按重量販售食物的場所,沒有提供過敏原資訊的義務。部分連鎖店會在網站或店內公布過敏原表,值得查看,但不能視為理所當然。
